INDEPENDENT YACHT ELECTRICAL ADVICE

Technology on board.
Clearly planned.

I advise independently, without ties to manufacturers, yards or products. My sole task is to find the best solution for your boat, not the most profitable one for a supplier.

Whether it’s a refit, planning your onboard electrics or a tricky technical question, I help you understand, plan and move forward. Impartial, honest and on equal terms.

On site across Europe, remotely worldwide. Often, the next useful step is just a video call away.

YOUR TECHNICAL PARTNER AS A YACHT OWNER

You don't have to figure it all out
on your own.

A new yacht, a planned upgrade or conflicting advice: together, we bring structure to your technical questions. What do you really need? What suits your boat? And what can wait?

I am your technical contact for onboard electrical questions, from assessing the existing installation and planning changes to supporting your refit. Together, we establish what your boat needs and agree the scope. Across Europe and remotely worldwide.

TECHNICAL HELP FROM A DISTANCE

You're on board. I'm on screen.
Together, we move forward.

A puzzling battery, questions about an upgrade or three quotes telling three different stories? Let's take a look together. By video call, phone or WhatsApp, I help you understand the connections and find the next sensible step.

Show me your installation and explain what's happening. Photos, equipment details and wiring diagrams help us prepare. I'll explain how it fits together calmly, clearly and with the occasional laugh. Technology is complicated enough already.

Yacht electrics

Onboard electrics & energy

From 12 to 400 volts, whether AGM or lithium batteries: solar, charging infrastructure and energy management need to work together. We plan the interaction between batteries, charging sources, distribution and loads and show you what really matters – with the expertise of a qualified German master electrician.

Marine electronics

Navigation & connected systems

NMEA 2000, Raymarine, system monitoring and Starlink: understand interfaces and align upgrades with the existing installation. We also consider the power demand of watermakers and other large loads.

Making it happen together

Compare quotes, coordinate materials lists and find suitable yards or specialists. I support collaboration and help you keep track of the technical connections.

ABOUT MEYER YACHTING

Experience that doesn't
stop at the office.

Kevin Meyer · Founder & German master electrician

I have held Germany's master electrician qualification since 2013. For ten years, I owned an electrical business in Germany, with a commitment to delivering sound, safe and clearly documented technical solutions.

Boats have been part of my whole life. I spent two years living aboard and cruising with my family. That is why I judge equipment by whether it works reliably underway, remains understandable and can be serviced when it matters.

I have extensively refitted four yachts of my own. My strength is assessing technical connections, setting priorities and finding practical solutions with you.

I'm a practical, good-humoured person: I listen, think things through and enjoy tackling tasks together. You get clear answers and an honest assessment, including when something needs a different plan. I support owners across Europe and remotely worldwide, working with suitable yards and specialists for implementation.

YOUR QUESTIONS

What you might want
to know first.

Can you support my refit without installing it yourself?

Yes. Advice, planning and technical support are the focus. I help clarify requirements, assess quotes and coordinate the work with your yard and specialist contractors.

What can be assessed remotely?

Photos, videos, equipment details, wiring diagrams and quotes allow an initial assessment and targeted questions. We are clear about what cannot be reliably judged this way and whether an onboard inspection is needed.

How do we start planning my upgrade?

In the free introductory call, we discuss your boat, how you use it and your goals. You then receive a quote setting out the planning scope and agreed deliverables.
